Dinner @ I Eat Restaurant Penang

Last night I went to a new place for dinner. I have checked this place over the internet since few months ago, however I do not have opportunity to go there. Last month I saw on the Penang groupon  featuring this restaurant and I bought the voucher. This restaurant served Peranakan Meal or another word "Makanan Nyonya". This restaurant located @ summertown place and situated along the roundabout. There is a limited car park inside the building, so if you come during peak hour it is quite difficult to get the parking spot.

Each group of 4 people gets

• Assam tumis fish fillet (RM18 value)
• Sweet and sour chicken (RM15 value)
• Stir-fried yao mak / dou miao (RM7 value)
• Soup of the day (RM7 value)
• 4x rice (RM4 value)
• 4x refillable iced syrup drinks (RM4 value)

 The food quantity was served quite small I think, and we top up another 2 meals which are Otak2 and Ayam Goreng Belacan. For me, the food taste so-so only. I like the Assam tumis and the otak2. For the soup, it was tasteless at all. I think the cook forgot to put salt inside the soup. Check out the picture here.

Ikan Bakar Hammer Bay

Kali ini nak cerita pasal kedai ikan bakar. Kalau kat Penang area Bayan Lepas memang banyak choice. Kalau dulu aku suka pergi Telok Tempoyak, tapi sekarang dah jarang sebabkan agak jauh. Kat area tepi laut keluar dari jambatan pulau pinang pun ok juga. Malam tadi kami makan di Hammer Bay di Bayan Lepas. 3 minggu lepas aku dtg bawa family abang dan mak aku. Makanan not bad juga. Tiba2 semalam husband ajak makan kat sana. Apa yang aku suka tentang tempat ni ialah pemandangan yang cantik sewaktu menikmati makanan. Aku dtg semlm dalam pukul 6 ptg, dan cuaca masa tu baik. Dgn angin sepoi2 bahasa dan tempat yang bersih memang menambahkan selera. Lagi satu hammer bay ada tempat bersila. So org mcm aku yg ada anak kecil ni memang sesuai sgt. Kami order tomyam poktet, pari bakar, sotong goreng tepung dan kangkung. Tomyam poktet dia mmg power. Berasap!!!

Siriwan Thai Seafood restaurant

It has been years that I did not eat at this restaurant. If I recalled, the last time was during my trip back from Philiphines that I stopped for dinner. I'm not sure why suddenly my husband decided to have our dinner here tonight. It was a friday night and both of us are in a weekend mood. We can stay up late and waking up late tomorrow. That would be a bliss 😆
This restaurant specialized in thai food and of course "tomyam". They have 7 types of tomyam on the menu. However we didnt choose that. I order brocolli with prawn, cashewnut chicken, seafood otak2, squid fritter and fried crispy kangkong. All the food are yummy. I compared the price for the food are cheaper to golden triangle. I recommend this restaurant to those who love thai & spicy food. Not to forget, this restaurant doesnot served pork. It does offer alcohol on its menu.

The Ridge, Teja by the Sea

Last weekend, I was watching "Jalan-Jalan cari makan" show on TV3. This show is about  restaurants  around the place that they go. That weekend they went to Penang and they show a few restaurants around Penang. After watching the show and I got to discover a new place to eat in Penang. The show is really entertaining and make the restaurant look super nice and the meal is so delicious. Mouth watering... yum yum yum. The restaurant that I like to try is situated in Batu Kawan. I watched the show at my hometown, and I was thinking to have my dinner there on the way back later. See the show playing trick on my mind persuading me to try that restaurant. However we reached Penang about 8.00pm which I think its quite late. Plus from the review show the place is not suitable for people with small kids especially at night due to the mosquito, so we have to postphone the plan to some other time.
So it was yesterday that we went to that restaurant. The name of the restaurant; The Ridge, Teja by the Sea. I have not go to the restaurant yet, but the name itself has already attract me to go there. It is located just next to the Batu Kawan jetty. When I get there the restaurant looks quiet, with few customer only. The scenery was splendid as it facing the sea. It was drizzling when we were, so I guess the scenery will be way better when it was not raining. The restaurant offers grilled, steamboat, western and Malay dishes on the menu. We tried Japanese grill dishes which come with salmon, chicken, beef, prawn and vege. The food is ok but I think it not worth with the price. Maybe i pay half with the beautiful landscape. Ok check out the photos. Even we came during day time, my little angel was greeted by few mosquito. My comment, this restaurant worth to try. The scenery is very nice, however the food taste is OK. Maybe the owner should improve on that, as to attract more customer.  

Puncak Mutiara Cafe

Last 2 weeks we had our late lunch at this place. It was an unplanned event. We went out to have our lunch which was about 2.30pm. Then my dear husband suggested thus place. This would be my second visit to this place. The place is famous for their mutton. Check out the photos
