"Papa, jom pergi jalan.. Lama dah rasa tak jalan.. tak payah pergi jauh2, dekat2 pun tak apa", I've been persuading my husband for a short holiday. Feels like very long that me and family didnt got for any vacation since the Aussie trip. We went to KL, Melaka during this time around, but that was for visiting family. Not really vacation.. Last Friday husband suprised me with this.
The whole Friday I was wondering where could be the "suprised place". I've been digging my husband for the clue, but it didn't work. He said he do not know whether I've been to that place, maybe I did when I was still single. This add more to my curiosity...Where could be the place??
My husband prepared all the clothing for this holiday. I let him choose what is suitable attire for me and kids. We departed around 10.am on Saturday. We bought some breakfast from McDonald drive thru and had them in the car.
My husband make an entry to the North-South Highway and we were heading towards the South. So it was not Gunung Jerai, as it is my first guess. We passed Taiping, Ipoh, and Simpang Pulai. After that he made the exit at Tapah toll, and he finally said, " we are going to Cameron Highland"... Haha..that was really a suprised. It is not the first time I went there, I think I went there more than 10x with my husband. Well, thanks mr Hubby, I love Cameron...... just that the traffic is always bad and its always a waste of time.
We reached Tapah tol about 1pm, and it was a bad timing. The road was closed due to "Le tour de Langkawi" event. We have to give way for the bicyclist to pass first. So instead of waiting there for maybe an hour, I suggested my husband for us to get our lunch first. We made a turn into the highway and went to Kampar for lunch. We had KFC for our lunch. About 2.30, we head back to Tapah, and this time, we use the trunk road. Luckily the road was clear this time.
We stopped at Lata Iskandar waterfall for a while to enjoy the scenery and the cold breeze of the waterfall. Luffy wanted to bath, but we dont let him cause the water was so cold. We let him take play for a while. Maybe next time we can go for picnic at waterfall.
After that we headed to Cameron Highland. The road was twisty and small which made the journey uncomfortable. My husband chose this road as to avoid the traffic jam. Indeed the road was clear, up until we reach the Bharat tea plantation. We stopped for a while to have a drink and enjoy the scenery. The view was fantastic and breathtaking. I
We checked in at the hotel about 6pm. We stayed at Hotel Titiwangsa, Brinchang. The hotel was very spacious and comfortable for family stay. It was not a luxury hotel but good enough for family stay. One king bed, 1 single bed, 1 sofa and ample space. Another good thing was that the hotel provide free buffer dinner steam boat and breakfast. The location was great, not that far from the Brinchang night market and you can walk without having to worry about parking and being stuck in the traffic jam. I would want to stay at this hotel again next time with my big family.
The next day, my husband took us to a new attraction place in Cameron which I have never been before. The "Taman Agroteknologi Mardi Cameron Highland" situated at Tanah Rata, just further up from the Tanah Rata Park. You can find all things in Cameron Highland here, Tea, strawberry, apples, grapes, rose, orchid, cactus, hydrophonic plantation. I love this place and we spent about 2 hours here.
We had Indian food for our lunch at Tanah Rata and it was great. I like the Banana leave meal with the spinach and Dal gravy. After that we head down, we stopped at Haba to buy some vege and drive home to Penang.
