Summary of 2014

2014 is almost at the end. There are a lot of things happened in this year.
Beginning of the year was good. I was blessed with a beautiful baby bOy. Imran Eirian Chong was borned 10 January 2014 @ 11.25am in Hospital Pantai Mutiara. After few years wa iting this the best gift from god to me. I was on maternity leave for two Months. The best part was my MUM willing to stay in Penang to take care me and my kids. After one month we did small Kenduri aqiqah for  Little Eirian. I love the cradle decoration and it was very nice.
I resume my work in March. Nothing new and fancy with work. Still doing same thing. I was transfered to my ex-boss and there was a tense somewhere. I raiseed out my concern and my dissatisfaction. I know it jeopardize my reputation, but it turn out well for me. I dont know about the other party, but i stand out for my right. Dont mess with me .
Somewhere in April, there was an issue with one of my family member. This is something to do with trust issue. I know I was out of limit but I was doing the correct thing. Tell the truth and be firm. Up until now, the issue has not been resolved. Our relationship has been tainted. I pray god that everything turn out well at the end in a good way of course. I love my family so much and i wish i can do more to fix all the broken glasses. InsyaAllah.
Somewhere in July, we were shocked to receive a news my beloved uncled was contracted with colon cancer. He has been suffered with stomach pain for months. He went to the hospital for checkup before but it was not detected. I did read the report written by the hospital, showed everything was fine with my uncle. He went to Hospital Ipoh, but they detected something but they cannot confirm it. Due to the distance, the Ipoh hospital refer the case to Manjung Hospital. Again nothing... no problem. My uncle still feel the stomach pain. This thing went for about 2 months. After that my uncle went again to Ipoh hospital and after perform MRI scanning, then it was detected the desease. It was colon cancer and the bad news it is at stage 4 and it has spread to other organ of the body. It was very saddening news to me and my family member. My uncle stay near my mum house and I am quite close with them. Nothing much that we can do at this time. He refuse to go for chemoteraphy and take traditional medicine. At this time his condition is very worse and worsening as days passed by. Everyday I pray for a miracle for him to turn well.
2015 is coming in a few days more. And I hope everything will turn well next year. Amin.

The Ridge, Teja by the Sea

Last weekend, I was watching "Jalan-Jalan cari makan" show on TV3. This show is about  restaurants  around the place that they go. That weekend they went to Penang and they show a few restaurants around Penang. After watching the show and I got to discover a new place to eat in Penang. The show is really entertaining and make the restaurant look super nice and the meal is so delicious. Mouth watering... yum yum yum. The restaurant that I like to try is situated in Batu Kawan. I watched the show at my hometown, and I was thinking to have my dinner there on the way back later. See the show playing trick on my mind persuading me to try that restaurant. However we reached Penang about 8.00pm which I think its quite late. Plus from the review show the place is not suitable for people with small kids especially at night due to the mosquito, so we have to postphone the plan to some other time.
So it was yesterday that we went to that restaurant. The name of the restaurant; The Ridge, Teja by the Sea. I have not go to the restaurant yet, but the name itself has already attract me to go there. It is located just next to the Batu Kawan jetty. When I get there the restaurant looks quiet, with few customer only. The scenery was splendid as it facing the sea. It was drizzling when we were, so I guess the scenery will be way better when it was not raining. The restaurant offers grilled, steamboat, western and Malay dishes on the menu. We tried Japanese grill dishes which come with salmon, chicken, beef, prawn and vege. The food is ok but I think it not worth with the price. Maybe i pay half with the beautiful landscape. Ok check out the photos. Even we came during day time, my little angel was greeted by few mosquito. My comment, this restaurant worth to try. The scenery is very nice, however the food taste is OK. Maybe the owner should improve on that, as to attract more customer.  

Puncak Mutiara Cafe

Last 2 weeks we had our late lunch at this place. It was an unplanned event. We went out to have our lunch which was about 2.30pm. Then my dear husband suggested thus place. This would be my second visit to this place. The place is famous for their mutton. Check out the photos

Pie Harbour, Penang Maritime

After finished the interview session, me and family stopped for a quick meal. It was around 5pm, so we decided pie was the best choice before dinner time. We had a heavy breakfast and we skipped lunch today. The pie harbour place was wonderful. It  is very near to my house. The view was nice and due to xmas season, the place was decorated with xmas theme. I had a good time there, reminds me of San Diego.

Telenovela addictive

I love this telenovela so much. The title is Cuidaido Con en angle or in English, dont mess with an angel. It star by the hearthrob william levy and Maite perroni.I started to follow this show since my maternity leave. Now my little Eirian is almost 11 months but the show not yet finished. Indeed its a very long show...Hehe.. anyway i really enjoy the show.

Nyonya food

I had a good lunch today in Hainan Town. Eventhough it is very near to my house but this is my first time visit. It is about 5 minutes drive from my home. It served Nyonya food. To clear the doubt, its a pork free restaurant. Its located near the ferry jetty and the view is very nice. With the cool sea breeze and the heavy nice lunch really make me feel like doze off, zzzz. Here i posted few photos that I captured. We tried few food and i think the assam pedas, otak2 and kacang botol taste marvelous. I am sure will come here again next time.

Eirian - 40 days

This is Eirian after the aqiqah kenduri. We did the aqiqah kenduri at my hometown. We did aqiqah of one goat and make small kenduri as a token of gratitude. My mum call for marhaban event with her marhaban group. It was a joyous day.

2nd child birth story

Hi, it's been quite some time I didn't update on my pregnancy. Time passed so fast that I have completed the pregnancy cycle from first to third semester successfully. Alhamdullilah, that I was blessed with a beautiful son, last Friday 10 January 2014. Here I want to share the birth story of my second kid.

For my first kid, the birth was a vaginal birth with vacuum suction whilst The second one was with Caesarean section. I started to have Braxton contraction started from week 33. I had a hard time to get a good night sleep. To lie down resting there are only 2 positions that I can settle either turn right or left and not flat on my back. I did highlight this symptom to the gynae, and after she examine, I do have contraction and ask me to do ctg. I declined, I scared of the result will lead to have early labor.  Having pre-mature baby is very risky unless it is very2 serious case. I thnik I still can hold the contraction and gassy. So I just continue. 

I started to have maternity leave on 6 January 2014. My due date is on 17 January, but the in-house clinic ask me to take 2 weeks earlier due to company policy. Due to my condition that I always got contraction and stomach pain, I think should be ok to take the leave early. Other reason is that, my first child was born a week early from the due date too. My two office mate also deliver 3 weeks early than their due date. Therefore I think high chanches it would be the same for this pregnancy. 

I got severe contractions every night that I thought and wish it is sign of labor, but after few hours it goes off. I saw my mucus plug a few times already, and I was very positive that labor is only few days away. It's so damn bored staying at home with the cramping and difficulties to move around with a swollen feet and heavy stomach. This pregnancy is so different compared to my first one. Ppl said is because of age. Yeah, could be right..

Supposedly I was having appointment with my gynae on Thursday night. But because of the contractions and mucus plug sign, I decided to do the ctg and check up on Thursday evening. Besides, my husband not so busy that evening and he can take me to the gynae. The ctg result was abnormal and doktor check on the dilation. Sadly it's not open yet. When doctor do the ultrasound, she found out that there's umbilical cord on my baby neck. I was a bit surprised since last 2 weeks checkup doctor doesn't mentioned it and she said everything is good and I can go for normal delivery. According to the gynae, I still can go normal, but there is a risk. That was not a pleasant news. The baby might turn blue due to insufficient oxygen and most of the couple would not take risk. After discussion with my husband we agree to go for c-sec. I remember my biology teacher lost her baby due to this issue and few of my family member has gone thu c-sec due to this as well. And they try the vaginal birth but end up with c-sec of course. 2 works, 2x painful.. My gynae said I can do c-sec this evening since I haven't take anything since lunch. But that was too rushing. So after midnight I start fasting because I need to fast 6 hours before the operation.

So the next morning, the delivery process begin. I was so worried like hell. I read a lot of story of c-sec birth, some are good and some are not, pretty much make my head spinning. But a bit excited too, I'm going to see my baby today. We dropped luffy at school before headed to the hospital. I told Luffy, after school today, you can see your little brother and he was very excited. 

After finished with the registration, I headed to delivery suite. I changed the clothing and finished up the toilet business. The nurse inserted the tube into my bottom, that is very2 painful and I feel like crying. Then the transfer me to operation room. There is a ecstaticion doctor would I want half awake or fully sleep during operation. At first, I want fully asleep but I changed my mind after knowing that my husband is not allowed to go. What if anything wrong happened to me or my baby during operation. At least if I'm half awake I can be aware. I went into the operation room at 10.40 a.m. Then I was give an epidural, I really scared of this. I know the doctor will use long huge needle and inject into your spine which I saw this before. Sorry no turning back for me at that time, so I never looked. I just follow doctor instruction and looked away. After a while, half of my body was numb start from my belly to bottom. I was scared at first; what if I can feel once the doctor cut my belly? Then the anestheticion ask me to move my leg. I can't..yeah it working said the doctor and ask me not to worry. The room was very chill and I ask the nurse to put on more blanket. 

My gynae came in about 11.00 a.m. right after the finish with the preparation. Then I can she cut my belly, she shake my belly..urgh..bug of course I can't see it. The cover it with a clothes. Then one of the nurse told me, the baby head is out. Then not long after that, I heard baby cry.. It's a boy said the nurse. "Alhamdullilah", that the only words I can remember..after the nurse cleaned the baby, she showed me the baby. The paediatrician doctor was there as well congratulates me and say that my baby is healthy and no abnormality. He was born at 11.26 a.m.
